TV Overnights: Mistresses secures peak slot again

BBC One’s Mistresses won the peak slot of 9pm to 10pm for the second week running, with 3.7 million viewers and a 16.6% share. This was slightly down on last week’s 4 million viewers, and 18% share.

This was despite close competition from ITV1’s Police, Camera, Action, which attracted an audience of 3.6 million, and a 15.8% share – up on last week’s 3.3 million viewers and 14.5% share.

Elsewhere, Channel 4’s Undercover Boss and Five’s The Hotel  both secured just under 2.1 million viewers, with a 9.3% share and 9.1% share respectively.

BBC Two’s Victorian Pharmacy managed an audience of 1.9 million, and gained a share of 8.6%.

Earlier in the evening, ITV1 won the slot of 8pm to 9pm, with Emmerdale at 8pm (6.5 million viewers and 29.8% share) and Coronation Street at 8.30pm (7.2 million viewers and 30.9% share).

BBC One’s Eastenders, airing from 7.30pm to 8pm, won its slot with an average of 7.3 million viewers, and a 36.7% share.

BBC One achieved top ratings for most of the morning, with ITV1 taking over in the afternoon as usual.
