BBC One’s New Tricks claimed the peak-hour ratings with more than 8.8 million peak viewers last night.
The long-running drama attracted over 8.7 million average viewers and a 36% audience share in the 9pm to 10pm slot, pushing it well ahead of its terrestrial rivals.
On BBC Two, Horizon: Seeing Stars settled on 1.2 million average viewers, while ITV1’s Show Me the Funny pulled in 1.7 million viewers.
Both Channel 4 and 5 slipped below the one million-mark in the peak slot.
BBC One had the most successful ratings night – with Eastenders securing more than 8.1 million viewers in the 8pm to 8.30pm slot.
However, ITV1’s soaps peaked with 7.8 million viewers (Coronation Street – 7.30pm).
