TV Overnights: Who do you think you are? wins peak position again

Who do you think you are?

Last night, BBC One’s Who do you think you are? won the peak slot of 9pm to 10pm, for the fourth week in a row.

This week’s show, looking at Monty Don’s ancestry, attracted 5.4 million viewers, and a 22.3% share – up on last week’s 5 million, and 21.3% share.

Elsewhere, ITV1’s Identity managed an average audience of 3.3 million (with a peak of 3.8 million viewers), and a 13.5% share – slightly down on last week’s 3.4 million viewers and 14.5% share.

BBC Two’s Dragons’ Den achieved 2.8 million viewers and an 11.5% share, while Channel 4 documentary The Hospital secured 1.8 million viewers and a 7.3% share.

Five provided competition with Collateral Damage, managing to attract an audience of 1.5 million, and a 7.5% share.

ITV1 won the 7pm to 8pm slot, with Emmerdale (7pm to 7.30pm) securing 6.6 million viewers and a 34.4% share, and the first of a Coronation Street two-parter (7.30pm to 8pm) achieving 8.2 million viewers and a 39.3% share.

BBC One’s Eastenders won the 8pm to 8.30pm slot, with 8.4 million viewers and a 36.8% share.

ITV1’s second episode of Coronation Street, showing from 8.30pm to 9pm, won the highest ratings for its slot, with just over 8 million viewers, and a share of 13.5%.

During the day, BBC One nominated the morning television schedule, with BBC Two and ITV1 taking over in the afternoon, as usual.
