TV Revenue – December
Total terrestrial TV revenue for December (excluding GMTV) reached £172.3 million, according to agency estimates. ITV brought in £126.3m, C4 came in at £38m, while C5 earned £8m. GMTV’s revenue was up 3.3% to £5.68m.
As far as the ITV franchises were concerned, Carlton performed well with a year on year increase in its revenue share to 16.6% while LWT saw its revenue share drop the most, down 1% point to 11%. Most of the other franchises showed little year on year changes.
December’s TV data will be incorporated into a TV Round-Up for 1997, which will be available on Newsline next week.
