TV Revenue – July 1999
Total terrestrial television revenue for July 1999 (including GMTV) stood at £194.9 million, according to agency estimates. Of this ITV’s revenue saw a rise of 14.2%, Channel 4 was up 13.1% and Channel 5 increased by 37.2%.
GMTV revenue continues to fall, this time by 3.2%, and total revenue for satellite television rose by 18.7% compared to July 1998.
In terms of share of revenue amongst the ITV franchises, Carlton has the largest slice with 16.0%. The extra Saturday in July pushed up LWT’s share of revenue year on year by 1.3% points.
