TV Revenue – May 1999

Total terrestrial television revenue for May 1999 (including GMTV) stood at £219.65 million, according to agency estimates. Year on year, ITV dropped by 15.1%; Channel 4’s revenue also dropped back, by 8.5%, and nd Channel 5 showed an increase in revenue of 14%. GMTV’s revenue fell back by 19.2% year on year.

In terms of the franchises’ share of ITV revenue, Central took the most with 17.3%, a 1.6% points increase on this time last year. Carlton dropped 1.0% points to take 14.5% of revenue during May.
