TV Viewing Summary – Jackson Gets 7m

BBC1’s exclusive Michael Jackson interview on Friday 16th June only managed to attract 7.05 million viewers. This is 4.5 million less than BBC2’s exclusive Oprah Winfrey interview which was shown in February 1993.
ITV’s new series of Wycliffe has started well, attracting 9.47 million viewers and achieving a 44% consolidated share of viewing for 8pm on Sunday 18th. This is the first time this year that a programme made by HTV had entered the top thirty programmes list.
Overall TV viewing for the week ending 18/06/95 has increased by 5.3% on the same week last year. The combined ITV/C4 share of viewing is 51.5%, this is 2.5% higher than last week and the highest combined figure for 1995. Key *TV VIEWING£
