TV Viewing Summary W/E 08/10/95 – Disney Do Well
Viewing figures for the first full week of transmission of the Disney Channel show that the channel has started well. The channel was watched for an average of 33 minutes for the week ending 8th of October by Individuals 4+, this was 2.3% share of Astra viewing, an average daily reach of 9.4% and an average weekly reach of 28.5%.
Carlton’s documentary programme Police, Camera, Action has entered the top thirty programmes list at number 4 with an audience of 16.06 million. Other programmes doing well include the new series of BBC’s Animal Hospital which was watched by 10.53 million people; more viewers than Thursday’s edition of The Bill (10.53 million) and 2 Point 4 Children which had 12.06 million.
ITV has for the first time this year achieved more than 40% share of television audience (40.9%), while total commercial television has achieved a 50.8% share of viewing. Total television viewing for the week has risen slightly by 0.5% when compared to the same week last year.
