TV Viewing Summary W/E 12/11/95 – Heartbeats All The Rest
Yorkshire television’s Sunday night drama series Heartbeat has for the third time this year knocked Coronation Street off the top programme slot. The episode shown on Sunday 12th November attracted an audience of 18.17 million viewers and a 67% share of viewing for its timeslot.
The network television premiere of Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner’s film The Bodyguard was watched by 13.26 million viewers and had a 57% share of viewing. This was the second most watched film of the year after Home Alone. Other programmes doing well this week include You’ve Been Framed, which improved on its previous week’s figure of 12.52 million to 16.31 million this week, the new series of Taggart which was watched by 11.88 million viewers and Michael Barrymore’s My Kind Of People which achieved a rating of 10.26 million viewers.
Channel 4’s top programme was for the second week in a row The Real Holiday Show, which had an audience figure of 3.86 million viewers. Total Television viewing for the w/e 12/11/95 was up by 0.5% on the same week last year.
