TV Viewing Summary w/e 23/07/95

Television viewing for the week ending 23/07/95 has risen by 2.6% when compared to the same week last year, although both commercial terrestrial channels recorded a fall in their average weekly viewing.

For the first time since 14/05/95 all of Channel 4’s top ten programmes have an audience of over three million, with Friday’s episode of Brookside the top with 3.82 million viewers.

BBC1’s mini series Till Murder Do Us Part managed to get both episodes in the top thirty programme list (at 17 for Friday’s episode 8.32m, and 23 for Thursday’s, at 7.65m). ITV’s repeat showing of the Bette Midler film Beaches managed to attract 8.65 million viewers, the only film in the top 30.
