TV Viewing Summary W/E 28/05/94 – Lottery Tops Chart
The National Lottery Live has zoomed back to the top of the top thirty programmes chart with 15.83 million viewers. This is the first time since the week ending 2nd of April that the Lottery has gained more than 15 million viewers and represents an increase of 11.9% on last week’s figure.
ITV’s two new drama series Bramwell and Dangerous Lady have both appeared in this week’s top thirty chart. Bramwell at number 14 has 9.74 million viewers and a 43% share of the audience for Monday at 9.pm and Dangerous Lady is at number 26 and was watched by 8.74 million people; this is a 41% share of the audience for Tuesday at the same time.
Average monthly viewing for the month of May has fallen by 2 hours and 6 minutes per person compared to April. Of the terestrial channels only BBC and ITV have seen an increase in their montly share of viewing, BBC1 is up from 31.5% to 33.7% and ITV is up from 36.1% to 36.4. “Other” viewing has gained its highest ever share of viewing, 8.5%, up from its previous highest of 8.4% last month
