TV Viewing Summary w/e 30/07/95

Television viewing for the week ending 30th July has risen by 0.6% compared to the same week last year. All channels except ITV and Channel 4 recorded an increase in their weekly viewing on last year’s figures; Channel 4’s viewing remained unchanged while ITV’s fell by 8.1%.

The only new programmes in the top thirty list from ITV are Wycliffe and The Russ Abbot Show, with the rest of ITV’s entries being made up of soaps or repeats. Slightly worrying for BBC1 must be the inconsistency of the National Lottery with viewing figures hovering around 10 or 11 million, nowhere near the first draw figure of over 20 million.

Average television viewing for the month of July is down by 58 minutes when compared to June’s total, with BBC2 the only channel to recorded an increase in its monthly total.
