The ITC has received two applications for the local delivery licence for West Kent, covering Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. The applicants are:
Earlgold Limited (£1,600,210.75p cash bid)
Encom Cable TV & Telecommunications Ltd (£1,140,000 cash bid)
Provided that the technical plan is acceptable and the ITC believes that the service will be maintained throughout the franchise period, the licence is normally awarded to the highest bidder.
The ITC hopes to announce its decision by late spring or early summer.
