The ITC has awarded the local delivery licence for Fife to Telewest Communications Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telewest Communications Plc. Telewest is committed to serving 35,000 homes by the end of 2003.
Meanwhile, the ITC has awarded the local delivery licence for Ayr to Ayrshire Cable & Telecoms Ltd, backed by the principals of the US Cable Corporation and its affiliates. The company is committed to serving 118,600 homes by the end of the year 2004.
