Two Way TV To Launch Interactive Versions Of Popular Quiz Shows

Two Way TV today announced partnerships which will lead to interactive versions of popular Pearson quiz shows being produced for digital television. Family Fortunes, 100%, Strike it Lucky and Whittle will be available to digital cable viewers on Challenge TV while Fifteen to One will be available in interactive form to digital cable viewers of Channel 4.

The programmes on Challenge TV will allow viewers to play fully synchronised games in real time, sometimes for prizes. They can play against the family, studio contestants and all other UK participating viewers. At the end of each game a league table would show the top players. Fifteen to One‘s specially-made interactive version will allow viewers to compete for prizes via their remote control and set top box as the show is broadcast on Channel 4. Up to four players per household can play simultaneously.

The UK managing director of Two Way TV explained “Everybody knows that viewers already play along with quiz and gameshows, usually by shouting at their televisions. Two Way TV allows viewers to actually answer the questions live.”

Two Way TV is currently available on the Cable and Wireless digital network and is due to roll out on Telewest digital this summer in the UK.
