UK ad exports group to lead trade missions in October
The UK Advertising Exports Group (UKAEG) will lead two trade missions in October to showcase UK creative capabilities while fostering commercial opportunities and collaboration.
Registration for the missions closes on 2 October.
UKAEG will be at Advertising Week New York during 6-9 October. Activity includes roundtables connecting UK companies with US peers, panels, workshops and networking events.
In addition, a leadership reception will take place at the British Residence in New York on 7 October, held in partnership with deputy trade commissioner for North America Alan Gogbashian and Advertising Week New York.
The US is the largest market for UK ad exports, which grew from £1.6bn in 2019 to £3.9bn in 2024.
UK ad industry to return to Cannes with government-backed trade mission
During 19-22 October, UKAEG will lead a second mission to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Athar Festival.
Events there include a dinner, curated meetings with Saudi brands and agencies, and a leadership reception at the British Embassy.
Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest-growing ad markets in the Middle East, with UK exports there rising from £104m in 2019 to £419m in 2024.
Highlighting the “strength and global relevance” of the UK ad industry, Aisling Conlon, international director of UK Advertising, said: “By connecting UK companies with senior decision-makers and creative leaders in the US and Saudi Arabia, we are not only promoting our expertise abroad but also driving tangible commercial opportunities for our members.”
UKAEG is backed by the Advertising Association, Advertising Producers Association, IPA and the Department for Business & Trade.
This is the second year for both of these trade missions. The group formed a partnership with Athar Festival in 2024.
