Uk Disney Pay Channel – Decision By End Of The Year

Talks are said to have started between Disney, Flextech and BSkyB over the launch of a Disney Pay-TV channel in the UK next year. A report in Broadcast magazine suggests that Disney would seek minimum audience guarantees, and that it was concern over audiences that caused withdrawal from an earlier proposed venture with Sky TV – about five years ago

Earlier this year Disney launched a joint venture with CLT – a family service, Super RTL, in Germany. A similar launch is planned for the Netherlands.
