UK Gold has bought around 700 hours of programmes including Crossroads, Boon, Spitting Image and Chancer from CTE, the Carlton-owned distributor.
The sale represents CTE’s largest-ever sale of programmes to a non-ITV UK broadcaster and is UK Gold’s biggest non-launch acquisition. The multi-million pound deal will provide UK Gold with programming well into the next century.
