UK: Radio Spend To Increase

Commercial radio in the UK appears to be set for an advertising boom in 1998. According to the Radio Advertising Bureau, which conducted a survey of 307 advertisers and marketing directors, 63 per cent plan to increase their spending on radio advertising. Commercial radio advertising revenue reached £100 million for the last quarter of 1997, a record for any three-month period, while over last year as a whole the percentage increase was 18.2 per cent.
