UKbetting Expands Sales Team With New Position

UKbetting is to step up the promotion of Sportinglife.com and Sportal.com to advertisers with the creation of a specialised sponsorship management position.

Former MyViewPoint sales director, Leonie Howard-Philips, has been recruited to fill the new post and will be responsible for expanding the reach and brand of both sites, as well as promoting their advertising potential to agencies and clients.

Prior to joining MyViewPoint, Howard-Phillips held sales positions at Thomson Directories and payroll and HR company ADP.

UKbetting recently acquired Sports.com’s betting arm for £670,000 (see UKbetting Acquires Sports.com’s Betting Arm), taking its user base to more than 100,000. The digital betting group has also made an offer to acquire TEAMtalk Media, which owns national speech-based radio station TEAMtalk 252 (see UKBetting To Acquire TEAMtalk For £13.7m).
