Ulster TV Reports Annual Turnover Of £37.2 Million

Ulster TV released its financial results for 1998 today in which it announced that it is paying out £18.4 million to its shareholders in the form of special dividends.

The group announced a turnover of £37.2 million, an increase of 6.9% year on year (£34.8 million in 1997), and pre-tax profit for the year was £12.5 million (£8.3 million in 1997).

The television group intends to focus its efforts for growth on increasing its coverage in the Republic of Ireland. Its service is currently available in nearly 80% of homes, and the broadcaster is hoping to increase its coverage to 100%.
