United News & Media is at the centre of speculation that it is about to announce the sale of United Provincial Newspapers, its local newspaper business.
United is believed to have put a price of around £40m on UPN Wales and UPN South East, which include the Llanelli News and Enfield Advertiser titles, though the rest of the business is not thought to be for sale. A spokesman for United would not comment on these rumours. Further details will appear on Newsline as they happen.
