US: Asian Turmoil No Problem

Despite the currency turmoils in parts of the Far East the outlook for growth in the Asia-Pacific TV and information sectors is rosy, according to a study by the US investment bank Salomon Smith Barney. TV revenues in the region will grow by an average 13 per cent annually in the years up to 2005, and the three fastest growing markets will be China, India and Malaysia. In China, advertising expenditure overall is expected to grow by 20 per cent this year.
