US celebrity magazine, Globe, is to launch in the UK next Friday 23 June with an initial print run of 200,000. The weekly UK version, to be called The American Globe, will cover celebrity stories, interviews, gossip, scandals and crime stories.
Advertising for the UK version of the magazine is being sold through the Publishing Constancy; distribution will be handled by Mail Newspapers Circulation. The launch will be accompanied by a nation-wide retail promotions and poster campaign. The American Globe will have a cover price of 80p and a special launch price of 50p.
Richard Thomson, publisher account manager at Mail Newspapers Circulation, says: “We fully expect The American Globe to secure a significant market share of the celebrity weeklies sector.”
