Digital marketing company, ValueClick, has poached DoubleClick’s director of account management, Vanessa Kent, to take up the role of corporate development director.
The newly created position will see Kent work to develop a new account management process for ValueClick’s technology and media divisions. She will also oversee client relationships and will be responsible for presenting products to a range of advertisers and agencies.
Commenting on the appointment, ValueClick’s European managing director, Carl White, said: “Vanessa’s extensive knowledge of account management and cross-selling initiatives combined with her hands on experience throughout the European marketplace will help us to further solidify our business growth in 2004.”
Kent added: “Clients are constantly looking for solutions that are easy to understand and are quickly implemented. As a single-source provider of digital, media technology and services ValueClick can deliver a simple, cost-effective option for advertisers, agencies and publishers.”
During her time at DoubleClick, Kent gained extensive knowledge of media, ad-serving and email technology services. She has also worked directly with significant advertisers, agency and publisher accounts such as Lycos Europe, Freeserve and Carat UK.
Earlier this year ValueClick secured the advertising sales contract for web-to-phone text message provider, Fonetastic, in a deal designed to offer marketers greater access to the online youth market (see ValueClick Deal Offers Access To Online Youth Market).
