Van Wagner To Launch Biggest Billboards On The Planet
Having begun to target London’s high earners with large scale outdoor sites in the Square Mile (see Van Wagner Gives Big Spenders The Big Picture), Van Wagner now has designs on the Capital’s top shoppers.

The company’s “One Knightsbridge Green” site is positioned on Brompton Road, between the two stores perhaps most associated with the ultra-rich, Harrods and Harvey Nichols. The site consists of two 60 x 15ft boards, which are 50% larger than a standard 96 sheet, and one 30 x 15ft board, which is 50% bigger than a standard 48 sheet. All three have overhead illumination.
This is the first time large scale outdoor advertising space has been available in this particular area, and the space, which is due to enter use in September, has already been sold, site unseen, until October.
This weekend another Van Wagner project is due for completion on the City end of the M11 link road, the A102 (M) East Cross route. Van Wagner are calling it the “biggest billboard on the planet” and its American-style landscape format bulletin board will measure 80 x 20 ft, giving it four times the display area of the biggest standard billboard available in the UK.
Officially available from 1 September, the board will be positioned head on to traffic travelling into Central London and through the Blackwall Tunnel from the M11, M25 and North Circular Roads.
