Virgin Announces 7% Reach.
Virgin 1215 has announced its first RAJAR figures this afternoon – a weekly reach of 7.2% (3,281,000 listeners). Virgin had predicted 8% reach.
Average hours matches predictions at six, and the profile is 57% male, 43% female, 64% in the 25-44 age group.
The data for Virgin only covers seven of the thirteen weeks surveyed in the latest RAJAR, and chief executive David Campbell believes the station is now solving its transmitter problems, fine tuning programming (new Rock ‘n Roll Breakfast Show) and adding listeners (new Sky TV link from this month).
