Dominic Eames has joined Virgin Media as its first portal editorial director, in a role created to help drive Virgin Media’s portal content strategy and lead publishing activities.
Eames joins Virgin Media after eight years with Channel 4 New Media. As editor, Online, Eames was responsible for content across Channel4.com and successfully took programming, including Big Brother, across platforms.
Prior to Channel 4 New Media, he held production roles at Organic, an online marketing agency, and IT Networks. He will be working closely alongside Alison Davis, who was internally promoted to the position of commercial director, Portal, earlier this year.
Alex Green, managing director, Portal, at Virgin Media said: “Dominic brings an outstanding wealth of senior editorial experience and vision to the Virgin Media Portal team.
“As we continue to develop our cross-platform proposition and drive our content strategy forward, Dominic adds the necessary creative and strategic thinking, alongside a solid brand understanding.”
