The Independent Television Commission is expected to come under attack at the High Court today, at the hearing on the Channel 5 award. Virgin TV was given leave to seek judicial review following complaints that Channnel 5 Broadcasting, the successful applicant, was allowed to change its bid after the final deadline.
Virgin TV is expected to argue in the court today that Channel 5 Broadcasting had an unfair advantage; the other failed bidders, UKTV and New Century Television have also been granted leave to appeal at Virgin’s hearing.
