It has just been announced that Vodafone are to sponsor the Derby. The company are spending £3.5m to sponsor two of the three days of racing’s most prestigious race. The deal lasts for three years.
The Derby will now be run on a Saturday, with The Oaks being run on Friday and the Coronation Cup on Saturday.
The Derby’s previous sponsor was Ever Ready; the contract ran out this year.
