Oasis’s management is threatening legal action against dozens of unofficial Net sites dedicated to the group. The band’s management has given unauthorised sites 30 days to remove any illegal material. This demonstrates that there is growing support for intellectual copyright laws to be introduced for the Internet.

Three major technology companies, Informix, Sillicon Graphics and Netscape Communications have joined together to launch Sillicon Network http://www-europe.sgi.com/International/UK. The service is intended to offer advice on anything from a single Web site to worldwide intranets.
In a bid to ease traffic, improve travel and tourist advice several kiosks have been installed across Southampton. Southampton may be at the fore-front of a national public information system.
