The old tired FutureNet site, which was primarily an extension of Future’s print publications, has been relaunched as a forward-looking semi-independent site. The new look site aims to exploit the medium to its full potential.
The home page, will remind many viewers of a Blockbusters game. Point the hand at any one of the tessellated shapes and you will be taken to the area of the site that you wish to explore further. The PC Net pages demonstrate the interactive benefits of the site. There is a section which helps the browser to select the PC to suit his or her requirements. Future is currently developing similar user guides for other areas of the site.

Many areas of the site are still under development; Future may have been wise to have delayed the launch until the whole site was up and running. At the moment, visitors to the site may feel that they are exploring a building site. However, the site is likely to attract a lot of traffic once all the finishing touches have been added.
