Website Of The Week: Paragon Publishing

Paragon’s website consists mostly of Internet editions of its magazines, which include computing, Internet and videogame titles. It does not therefore have any interactive facilities. Some magazines are present almost in their entirety whilst others are not on the site at all.
The site is extremely well-designed and attractive, using smart and colourful graphics. It is also well thought-out in terms of structure and it is easy to move around the pages. Because some of the graphics are quite complicated (some include scrolling images) the pages can take a long time to download.
Overall there are thirteen magazines represented (including Internet Today, CD-ROM User and Games World) and e-mail addresses are given for their editors. A subscription facility is available whereby a form is filled in on screen and then e-mailed to Paragon. The site also hosts search facilities, including Paragon’s own, and the Internet 96 Show Homepage.
