Rob Webster, currently director of third party channels at BSkyB, has been promoted to director of channels and operations.
In his new role he will have responsibility for relationships with all retailed and non-retailed channels on the platform.
Webster, who will report to chief operating officer Mike Darcey, will also lead negotiation of linear channel distribution agreements and take control of the ongoing expansion of third-party content on the Sky+ HD service.
His remit also includes the provision of regulated services on the Sky platform and the development of third-party content for Sky Anytime, Sky Player and Sky Mobile TV services.
Last week, the satellite broadcaster appointed Andy Brent as the new group brand marketing director, following a six-month search since Matthew Anderson’s departure (see BSkyB Appoints New Brand Marketing Director).
