Women’s Weekly Round Up – July-December ABCs
IPC continues to dominate the women’s monthly magazine market with 6 titles accounting for 64% of the total circulation in this group. However, the July to December ABCs were disappointing for IPC with only one title, Chat, recording a year-on-year increase in circulation. Woman’s Realm is the weakest of the IPC titles with a circulation of just over 30,000 behind relative newcomer, Eva, with a circulation of 37,000.
Market Share
Excluding the 4 Bauer titles, which do not report ABC figures, there are 5 other titles in the weekly market. Gruner & Jahr’s Best is the strongest of these with a circulation of 56,000. Hello, which is shortly to be joined in the weekly group by rival OK, recorded a circulation of just under 50,000.
The 2 DC Thomson titles My Weekly and Peoples Friend take a 16% share of the market. Both titles recorded a drop in circulation with the July to December ABCs.
