WPP Chief Gets £3m In Shares
Martin Sorrell, chief executive of global ad group WPP, yesterday picked up around £3m in company shares as part of an incentive scheme he initiated in 1994.
The Capital Investment Plan allows for such a bonus if the group trades above the plan’s required 230p level for 60 consecutive trading days. Yesterday the group’s shares were worth just under 270p and, as the graph below shows, it has been trading comfortably above this level since December.
