Wright Appointed Q Magazine Front Editor

Q Magazine Bauer Consumer Media has appointed Mic Wright to the newly created post of front section editor at Q magazine.

Wright will be responsible for editing and evolving the new front section of the magazine.

He previously held the position of news editor at Stuff magazine and has also worked for Pensions World as well as freelance for the Guardian and the Times.

Starting on 14 July Wright will work to revamp the new front section of the magazine and ensure the Q brand’s fully-integrated multi-platform offering in the use of content across the magazine as well as on Q Radio, Q online and beyond.

Paul Rees, Qeditor, said: “Mic comes from a first rate journalist background and comes equipped with an outstanding vision of where to take Q‘s front section.

“His credentials make him an ideal candidate for the job. We’re delighted to welcome him on board.”

Wright said: “I am so excited to be joining Q magazine and really looking forward to working with the team here. I’ve wanted to be a music journalist since I was a teenage indie kid, so this is an amazing opportunity for me to use my journalism skills for a subject I am passionate about.”
