Yahoo! Expands Sales Team With More Key Appointments
Yahoo! UK and Ireland has recruited Freeserve’s head of advertising operations, Lisa Mundy, as part of the ongoing expansion of its pan-European sales team.
Mundy will take up the newly created position of head of European operations and will work to ensure the smooth delivery of campaigns across a range of Yahoo! properties.
She will report directly to director of European advertising operations, Dominic Trigg, who joins the company from Music Choice Europe, where he spent two years as media sales director with responsibility for all media sales across multi-platform.
Yahoo! has bolstered its sales operations with the appointment of two additional account managers and three European sales managers. The move comes in response to a number of deals with high-profile advertisers such as Sony, Reebok, Nissan, Vodafone and Aiwa (see Yahoo! Expands Central Marketing Operations).
The expanded team will be responsible for driving Yahoo!’s online revenues and delivering online branding solutions across Europe. It will now sit as one cohesive unit under Yahoo!’s UK and Ireland sales director, Alison Reay.
Commenting on the appointments, Reay said: “Both Lisa and Dominic bring a wealth of experience to Yahoo! and combined with our sales team expansion, their appointments prove our commitment to our clients by delivering on campaigns and ensuring excellent service both in the UK and across Europe.”
Chris Humphrey, director of digital media at MGOMD, added: “Yahoo!’s pan-European sales team has demonstrated accountability for the control of our campaign requirements, the resultant effect being better harmony between our European clients’ digital needs and the delivery to brief.”
Earlier this year Yahoo! UK and Ireland restructured its sales division in an attempt to improve relations with media planning and buying agencies.
