YouTube joins forces with Sony
It was revealed yesterday that internet video giant YouTube will be collaborating with Sony Entertainment Europe to launch a new YouTube Playstation3 application, continuing its evolution across multiple viewing platforms.
The news comes after an earlier announcement this week that YouTube will be joining forces with Freesat to be available as part of its service, reaching living rooms across the UK.
The app is already available to download for free from the ‘My Channels’ section of the PS3 menu and allows the user to search and browse videos with their games console.
PS3 users can also use their smartphones and tablets to search videos and then watch them on their television screens via the PS3 app.
The app is available across Europe including the UK, as well as South Africa, Israel, India, Russia and New Zealand.
