5.1m Tune In To Ashes To Ashes Series Finale

Ashes To Ashes The series one finale of Ashes To Ashes grabbed a peak audience of 5.1 million adults in its 9pm slot on BBC One last night, easily beating ITV1’s Trial And Retribution.

The BBC has just announced that there will be a second series of the show, so viewers will be able to see if Drake is finally reunited with her daughter in the 21st century (see Second Series For Ashes To Ashes).

Over on ITV1, the brooding cop drama Trial And Retribution managed to get a peak audience of 4.3 million adult viewers (an 18.6% share of the audience).

Across its hour long running time, an average of 4.1 million adults tuned in.

Channel 4 was showing the controversial documentary Sleeping With My Sister at 9pm, which looked at what happens when sibling affection becomes too passionate.

A peak of 1.8 million adults watched the sympathetic portrayal of forbidden love.
