Aegis, the media buying and market research group, has reported 17.6% growth in pre-tax profit to £133.5 million for 2007.
Synovate, Aegis’ market research business, increased its revenues by 7.9% to £433 million, while the share of Aegis Media revenues generated by Isobar, its digital marketing network, grew from 20% to 26%.
Robert Lerwill, Aegis chief executive officer, said: “2007 was our eleventh successive year of market out-performance. At 9.8% for the group, organic revenue growth in each of our businesses was around double their industries.
“We are cautious about the macro-economic outlook for 2008, but currently relatively optimistic about our own prospects, reflecting the investment we have made in our businesses and our market positions.
“Trading so far this year has been healthy and we currently expect to deliver a further good year in 2008, thanks to a superior product offering, good new business momentum, the impact of recent acquisitions, our presence in emerging markets and increasing demand for digital expertise.”
