Alex Brooker joins The Future of Audio and Entertainment

Alex Brooker, who came widely known through his appearance on Channel 4’s The Last Leg, and Chris Scull have been announced as featured speakers at The Future of Audio and Entertainment, taking place on 29 April in London.

“It’s wonderful to live in a time when you can produce your own content. In some ways, I’ve helped create something which is better than radio — more intimate and more of a meritocracy. Anyone can do the same,” said Scull, who co-hosts Let’s Be Having You! with Brooker. Scull also co-hosted the Quickly Kevin, Will He Score? podcast.

Brooker and Scull will discuss their 2000s football-themed show, how podcasting can connect and build communities, and how they both found their way to podcasting.

The Future of Audio and Entertainment, organised by The Media Leader owner Adwanted UK, is a conference dedicated to the latest advertising innovation in audio, gaming, sports, TV and film, augmented reality, virtual reality, social media and AI.

It brings together leaders from advertisers, agencies and media owners to learn, discuss strategy and network.

Brooker and Scull join the event from the Sport Social Podcast Network, which hosts over 550 podcasts as Europe’s biggest sport podcast network. Last year, its podcasts were downloaded 97m times and, reflecting the increasing pivot to video for podcasts, it has also attracted over 120m YouTube views.
