Another Good Night For The Apprentice

Another Good Night For The Apprentice

Sir Allan On The Apprentice last night, Sir Alan wagged his finger once more and this time it was Adam who was told to get his coat and never darken the boardroom again.

Adam became the eighth contestant to be fired by the Amstrad tycoon after his team failed a challenge which had them bartering over unicycles, leather trousers and nigella seeds.

On at 9pm on BBC One, the show had a peak audience of six million adults (a 26.2% share), with an average 5.3 million adults watching across its hour-long running time.

As usual, the business reality show went head-to-head with City Lights on ITV1, in which our inept heroes Howie and Colin were almost executed in the back of a rundown caravan.

The comedy drama attracted a peak audience of 4.5 million adults (a 19.7% share) and an average of 4.3 million stuck with the show to see if the pair would survive their ordeal.

On Channel 4, also at 9pm, Kevin McCloud presented another edition of Grand Designs, this time looking at a castle in Tuscany.

An average of three million people tuned into the show to see if Howard Smyth and Janne Hoff-Tilley could live out their dream of renovating the beautiful but dilapidated property.
