Apprentice Final Scores Ratings Win For BBC

The Apprentice Winner, Michelle Dewberry Last night’s final episode of BBC Two’s the apprentice drew a staggering 5.4 million to the channel, outperforming all rivals in the same time slot, and notching up a larger average audience than ITV’s UEFA Cup final, aired earlier in the evening.

The Apprentice’s finale notched up a 26.54% share last night, while ITV’s football aired to 4.9 million adults on average, securing a 26.63% share.

Elsewhere, BBC One’s film, Pearl Harbour, drew 2.9 million adults on average, while Channel 4 banked on Grand Designs Revisited and Desperate Housewives to provide its largest audiences of 2.3 million and 2.1 million respectively.

Five’s largest audience of the evening came with The Da Vinci Code Myth: Revealed, a documentary examining the conspiracy theories surrounding the famous novel, which notched up an average adult audience of 1.2 million.
