Planning debate: Naked co-founder Will Collin joins line-up

Ex-Naked Communications co-founder Will Collin has been added to the final line-up for this week’s media planning debate, hosted by Mediatel.

In 2000 Collin, alongside partners Jon Wilkins and John Harlow, launched Naked and helped redefine the agency model. Based on the founding principle ‘Everything Communicates’, the agency took the dry concept of media neutrality and turned it into a vibrant business that left its competitors gobsmacked by the speed and scale of its success.

However, earlier this month, Naked announced it was closing its London office with Collin – describing Naked’s mission as “job done” – reuniting with Wilkins at Karmarama as strategy lead.

Wednesday’s event will give delegates the opportunity to ask Collin whether the industry now needs a Naked 2.0 and, if so, what shape it should take.

The half-day conference – hosted in partnership with the APG (Account Planning Group) on Wednesday 26 April – will see senior media and creative planners, clients, media owners, data business and programmatic companies debate the role of the planner in an increasingly automated business.

The line-up also includes Tia Castagno, head of innovation and content, Vizeum Global; Marie Oldham, communications strategist and head of strategy, Fresheyes Consulting; Laurence Green, founding partner, 101; Dom Boyd, APG chair and group head of strategy at adam&eveDDB and Craig Mawdsley, joint chief strategy officer, AMV BBDO.

Hosted at No.11 Cavendish Square, the conference will once again be chaired by Mediatel Newsline columnist Dominic Mills.

Limited tickets remain.
