Arena Makes New Appointments

Bauer Media’s men’s style magazine Arena has appointed Glenn Waldon as style director, with Anthony Noguera, Bauer Media men’s lifestyle editorial director taking a more hands on role at the title.

Noguera will be closely managing the editorial development of Arena, in addition to his current responsibilities.

Waldon is a former editor of i-D magazine and currently the Telegraph Magazine‘s men’s style editor as well as contributing features editor of Fantastic Man. He joins the Arena team on September 1.

Geoff Campbell, MD men’s lifestyle brands, Bauer Media, said: “I am sure that Glenn as style director and Anthony, with his considerable experience as a former editor of Arena will be a formidable team, delivering a world class magazine each month, and will further build on Arena‘s recent successes.”

The latest ABC figures, for January to June, show that Arena‘s circulation was static year on year, at just under 31,000 copies (see ABC Results Jan-Jun 2008:Mixed Period For Men’s Lifestyle Magazines).
