Bauer Media Signs Multi-Platform Ad Deal With EA

Bauer Logo Bauer Media has signed an exclusive, multi-platform deal with Electronic Arts to promote the release of its new XBOX 360 game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

The six-figure deal, brokered by MediaCom, will see Bauer Media promote the latest instalment of the game on-air, online and in print across its media brand portfolio. The activity will commence on October 27 and last for one month.

Spoof advertorials will be rolled-out across Bauer’s print magazines FHM, Zoo and Empire and will be supported by spoof news bulletins, created by Bauer’s in-house creative team, on Kiss and Kerrang! Radio.

Bauer’s television channels 4Music, The Box, Q, Kerrang! and Kiss TV will run 60 second promotions and 10 second ‘blipverts’ following the news spoof theme.

All activity will be supported by video channel sponsorship, newsletters and directional media on FHM.com and ZooToday.com.

Adrian Serle, commercial development director at Bauer Media, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Electronic Arts on this campaign.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert is an extremely strong brand and its audience corresponds perfectly to the readers, viewers and listeners of all Bauer brands selected for this campaign. We have designed a creative solution that encourages our consumers to really engage with the content of the new game by bringing it to life in their everyday media.”
