BBC One Repeat Proves More Popular Than Big Brother

Chanelle The repeat showing of forensic crime series, Waking The Dead, once again proved to be the Tuesday night ratings winner for BBC One in the 9pm to 10pm slot, gaining an adult audience of more than 3.4 million on average.

The channel had a 17.3% viewing share in the timeslot for the thrilling drama programme, with gruesome jars of pickled severed fingers managing to lure more viewers than the gruesome goings on in the Big Brother house.

A little under 3.4 million on average chose the reality show on Channel 4 at the time, giving the station a 17.1% share as Chanelle flounced out of the house after an argument with Ziggy.

Meanwhile, rom com Two Weeks’ Notice, starring America’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock and foppish curb crawler Hugh Grant, managed an average adult audience of more than 2.8 million for ITV1, giving the channel a 14.7% share between 9pm and 10.30pm. The second part of the film, after the News, kept the attention of more than 1.9 million (17.3%).

Over on Five, CSI: Miami proved popular, with more than 2.4 million, which meant Five took a 12.5% share, whilst BBC Two gained just under a respectable 1.8 million (9%) for ex Apprentice contestant Saira Khan’s Pakistan Adventure.

Earlier, Coast, which saw the team continuing their journey, around the breathtaking shoreline of East Anglia, was watched by almost 2.8 million adults on average (15%), compared to Holby City‘s 5.3 million (29%) on BBC One.
