Big Brother Eviction Attracts Strong Audience

Celebrity Big Brother Channel 4 enjoyed an impressive turnout last night, with the first in the new series of Desperate Housewives attracting an average adult audience of 3.6 million.

The broadcaster saw Celebrity Big Brother boast healthy ratings, with an average of 4.2 million adult viewers tuning in to watch Faria Alam be the second housemate evicted from the realty TV programme.

Meanwhile, BBC1 attracted a strong turnout for Match of the Day, with an average of 5.7 million adult viewers watching the FA Cup.

BBC2’s Who Do You Think You Are continued to attract viewers after last weeks strong performance, with the show, tracing the family history of actress Sheila Hancock, gaining just over an average of just over five million viewers, outperforming both Celebrity Big Brother and Desperate Housewives.
