Bloomberg Media hires Time Inc.’s digital SVP

Bloomberg Media has appointed Scott Havens as global head of digital.

Havens, who is currently senior vice president of digital at Time Inc., will be responsible for Bloomberg’s digital strategy for websites, mobile apps, over-the-top platforms and distributed content partnerships, starting from 16 November.

Prior to Time Inc., Havens held senior roles at Atlantic Media, Conde Nast Business Media and Yahoo Finance, as well as founding business site Portfolio.com.

“Scott has transformed traditional media organisations into digital powerhouses, and has created new category-transforming brands and business models,” said Bloomberg Media CEO Justin Smith.

“At Bloomberg, Scott will build on our efforts to create the most influential global digital platform for business and financial leaders.”

Havens added: “I am thrilled about the opportunity to partner with Justin and the amazing team at Bloomberg Media, and am eager to help accelerate the enviable digital progress that has been made under his stewardship.
